I am an international student, so learning English would be my literacy narrative content for me. I didn’t have a plan to study abroad when i was in high school. I didn’t go to an international school. I went to regular middle school and high school. But we still learned English for our exams. because English is a part of our final exams. Even though I learned English from when I was grade 2 at school, it didn’t help me that much for actual English. When i first came to the states, people here spoke in different way than i learned before. There are so many ways to express one thing or one situation. It means all i learned in my schools were kind of wasting time. It might help me get a good grade, but it didnt help my studying abroad at all. AEM
