Using the Projectors

Turn on the projector using the wall panel controls

Select the setting you want

  • Laptop HDMI
  • Laptop VGA
  • VCR/DVD

If you are using the Classroom laptop select Laptop VGA.

If you are using your own computer, Select the Laptop HDMI on the wall panel and plug the HDMI cable into your Laptop.

On the (Windows 10) classroom laptop press ‘Windows key’* and tap ‘P’ in order to cycle threw the modes you want your computer to show on the projector. Mirror, Extended or Single.

If you are on Mac press ‘command + F1’* to mirror your screen.

    • If that doesn’t work press ‘alt + command + F1’.
    • If you don’t have a F1 key press ‘command + space’ and type in “Arrangement” and press enter. Click on the ‘Mirrored Displays’ check box in the left corner under the blue screens, if you wish to mirror your screen.

Note that if you want audio, the VGA only gets audio through the audio jack and the audio jack only works with the VGA.

The HDMI’s audio and video go threw the same cable.

If you need to set up audio please refer to Changing Audio Outputs blog post.

For Power Point I advise Extended / Separate screen modes

DO NOT PLUG IN MULTIPLE VIDEO CABLES INTO THE COMPUTERS!
