For printing from your laptop.

  1. Installation

    • Download the appropriate Xerox’s Pharos Challenge driver:
    • Run the downloaded program. Go through the installation process:
      • If you are on Mac you may run into a security issue here. If you do, hit command+spacebar and type in ‘Security and Privacy’ and you will be brought to your Macs security setting. Allow the Pharo’s driver to run then go back to it and continue installing.
      • Accept the Terms Of Services and hit the “Install” button.
      • Once the driver program is done installing, hit the “Finish” button.
    • Now if you go to your printer settings you will notice that “Xerox Secure Print P2” (P3 for staff) has been added to your printers list you have installed the driver successfully.
  2. Printing

    • Please note that it will cost you as a student to print. Please refer to the links in the “Current Prices” section above to see how much it will cost you to print.
    • You will need to be connected to “USF-Wireless” Wi-Fi network in order to print to the Xerox.
      • if you need help connecting to it refer to the “Getting on the Internet” post.
      • “USF-Visitors” Wi-Fi network may work, but I am not 100% certain.
    • Once you hit print on whatever you are printing you will be prompted to enter your USF username then the password. Do so then hit print.
      • You may be prompted to select print settings if not specified while printing
  3. At the Xerox

    • Swipe your card at the card reader on the right, and enter your password if prompted.
      • Alternatively, if you forget your card you can log in manually at the “Alternate Login” using your USF username and password at the touch screen. Please note that this does not work reliably.
    • All prints you send to the Xerox will appear as a list, select the items you wish to print.
      • All files sent to the Xerox will only be on the Xerox for 4 hours. After this time the Xerox will remove it from its print list.
