The Jewish people have always been heterogeneous, Chinese Jews among them. In this talk by Rabbi Jaqueline Mates-Muchin — senior rabbi at Oakland’s Temple Sinai, native San Franciscan, and the first Chinese American rabbi in history — shares some of her insights on Jewish identities. Immediately following the talk, USF JSSJ Professor Oren Kroll-Zeldin has a conversation with Rabbi Mates-Muchin.
