Jewish tradition created a series of five protocols for the healing process known as Teshuvah, or repentance. These protocols include regret for harm, accepting accountability, truth telling, reparations, and guarantees of non-repeat of the harm. In this lecture, renowned activist and religious leader Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb explores the application of this ancient healing practice to the wounds generated by the transatlantic slave trade and the ongoing systemic harms of white supremacy.
