Fall 2014 – “Hope into Practice: Jewish Women Choosing Justice Despite Our Fears” with Dr. Penny Rosenwasser

Wednesday, September 10, 2014  l  5:30 p.m.  l  USF Main Campus, Fromm Hall, Berman Room

Join Dr. Penny Rosenwasser for “Hope into Practice: Jewish Women Choosing Justice Despite Our Fears,” an activist’s call to repair the world. Anchored in Jewish ethical tradition and based in her recent book, Hope into Practice, this presentation brings to life a fascinating blend of healing stories, history, and a nuanced perspective on Israel-Palestine, which insists on the centrality of Jewish multiculturalism, full inclusion of Jews of color, Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews, and Jews of other ethnicities and hyphenated identities.

This Swig Program in Jewish Studies and Social Justice Program event is co-sponsored by the Departments of Theology and Religious Studies, International Studies (BAIS), Master’s Program in International Studies (MAIS), and Programs in Middle East Studies, and Peace and Justice Studies.
