Hadar Harris will deliver the second annual Human Rights Lecture of the Swig Program in Jewish Studies and Social Justice on criminal justice, human rights, and change in the United States. An international human rights attorney using a comparative lens, Harris’s talk will place today’s seemingly intractable crises related to American political and racial in/justice in a broader historical context, using the continuum of changing discourses, movement building, technological innovation, and shifting state behavior to uncover a place from which we can act collectively and individually to move society toward its potential.
This Swig Program in Jewish Studies and Social Justice event is co-sponsored by the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, Black Student Union, and Human Rights Advocates of the School of Law.
