First, I read the response from Jasper. We both think making sure to understand the purpose of the arguments is necessary and it leads us to connect with the audience. Jasper gives a very good example of it compared to just talk about food insecurity for people with talks about the solution to food insecurity. Two topic looks the same but they have a different focus, which I think is a good example to explain.
Then I read the response from Meijing. for the second article, we may have a different perspective. For me, I’m focusing on how to persuade the audience to form me directly like I will explain everything to persuade them. But Meijing focuses on the audience, like understanding audiences’ position to prepare presentations will be more effective. In addition, we both think to be prepared to answer and give a solution to the obstacles or barriers is important to convince our audience.
