I felt as though this was one of the best presentations I have done. Specifically focusing on the topic: community groups. Having been given this type of freedom when I think of the word “community”, I think it really allowed me to be introspective on how I’m dealing with transitioning into adulthood and still adjusting myself to the college lifestyle. I was eager to share about my love for Salt and Straw, I think my positive emotions were easily able to spread across the room. I provided paraphrases of the points on my slides, so I knew exactly what I was talking about and had no need for notes, and I made sure to put in an image for every slide. Everyone loves images! What could have been a bit better is my posture, and maybe I could have slowed down my explanations. I think I came across as too eager and maybe that’s overwhelming, regardless of whether I loved this topic and came prepared, a speaker does not want to overwhelm their audience.
