I was in the breakout room with Hang.

There are many similarities in our response; Hang wrote about the humiliation that Gregory, the author had to go through in one of his classes. We both talked about the struggles of being an African-American in United States society. I think that the main point of Hang wrote about is that Gregory was offended because of the teacher who mentioned that he has no father. In my response, I talked about it as well, but my main point was that the most humiliated thing that the teacher said to him was “We are collecting this money for you and your kind”. So I think that what was extremely difficult for Gregory was the racial and financial problem that made him feel like he has things to be ashamed of.

I think that one thing that shook the state of Israel was Yitzhak Rabin assassination. Last week it was 25 years to his death. He was the prime minister for 3 years in a row (7 years in total) when he got murdered. Rabin is known for his political aspirations for peace in the Middle East. A large part of the population on Israel was against few agreements that he was in charge for. In 1995,  Rabin walked down the stairs after an inspirational speech in a rally for peace. An armed man who hid at the bottom of the stairs, shot Rabin and hit him with 2 bullets in his back. After few hours he was hospitalized and underwent surgery, the doctors had to determined his death. Although I was not born when he was alive, I think that he was really good man that tried to change to middle east area. Now days, we can never know how things were looked like if Rabin was still alive and was able to set these  agreements with our neighboring countries. I think that the middle east would thrive financially because many countries would be able to make businesses together, unlike now.
