This article talks about what would change Chinese relationships with Europe if there’s no invasion of Mongolia. Because of the invasion of Mongolia, Chinese Imperial had to focused resources inland, which weakened the marine force of China. So that Chinese merchant could have more interactions with west Europe without the Mongol invasion.(Horst Jürgen, 2017)
