A shout-out to junior Communication Studies major, Rheina Ale, who made history last week when the Lady Dons played (and beat!) second-ranked Pepperdine, 66-46 (yeah, that’s right, they beat the second-ranked team in the WCC by 20 points!).

How did Rheina make history? By becoming only the fourth player in USF history to shoot a perfect 10 for 10 from the stripe (that’s the free throw line for those of you not down with basketball lingo). That’s right, only three Dons before her have done that! Congratulations Rheina!

The Lady Dons open up the second half of the WCC season with a three game road trip, starting this Saturday at Santa Clara, before they continue on to San Diego and then St. Mary’s. We’ll be catching the entire team in action at an upcoming Communication Studies Game Day. Details to come next week.
