- LOVE taking part in events in the Communication Studies Department?
- LOVE talking with other COMS majors?
- LOVE getting to know your professors better?
And do you have…
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0?
- A COMS major GPA of at least 3.25?
- No grade lower than a “B-” in any of your COMS classes?
- At least 60 total units and 12 COMS units completed by the end of this semester?
Well, then you should be a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the Communication Studies Honor Society! We are currently recruiting new members to the Kappa Iota Chapter and want you to join us! You can download an application, lambda pi eta application 2016, or pick one up in our main office, KA 313. Applications are due to me, Professor Doohan, by Friday April 1st.
Why should you join? We host a variety of events for the department, including Pizza with the Profs, Career Night, Pie Day, and Pizza with the Pros, among others. We also have a mentorship program for new majors. Oh, and if you’re a member, you get to wear fancy red and white honor cords at graduation! We are proud to have a very active chapter here at USF and hope you will join us!
