In an age where everything is becoming more and more high tech, today’s Red Alert focuses on a decidedly low tech, but still new and exciting, feature of the Communication Studies Department: an internship binder!
The internship binder, located in KA 313
We professors frequently get announcements for internship opportunities from community members or department alums. There is now an “Internship Binder” located in our main Communication Studies office, KA 313. If you are a student looking for an internship, stop by our office and check out the binder for new internship postings. The office is open M-F 9:00-5:00. I just put the binder up last week and there are already six announcements, including a fashion company specializing in red carpet events, a PR firm focused on lifestyle and leisure, two education organizations with several internship opportunities each, and an event planning firm, among others.
So in the midst of searching the high tech listings, take a stroll by the main office (and back in time) and peruse the internship binder. Incidently, we decided to go low tech in an effort to “save” these internship postings for our majors.
